Transport in Kassel: Semester 3

During the semester in Kassel, EMBS student will have the possibility to travel for free within the city thanks to their student card. This include the transport by bus and by tramway:

The city is quite large and it is often more interesting to take the tramway than going by feet moreover if temperatures are very low.
Trains are quite expensive in Germany, if you want to take them you should buy at the beginning of your stay a discount card.
Kassel has two gare stations: Kassel Wilhelmshöhe and Kassel Hauptbahnhof.
Kassel Wilhelmshöhe is the main one which will drive you to all international destination whereas Kassel Hauptbahnhof is located in the city center of Kassel and is helping you for your transfert to Kassel Wilhelmshöhe (transport time: 5minutes).
You can buy your ticket at the gare station where they have some automatic transfer machine which will deliver you three tickets, including receipt and schedule.

As an example: Kassel - Frankfurt will cost you 29 euros and will lenght 1 hour and 37 minutes.
