Innovation and Knowledge Management
For this course we were in continuous examination. Attendance and participation in classe were taken into consideration. Three individual quizz tests were given of almost 20 to 30 general questions each related with the course. It was not a multiple choice answer and wrong answer were not penalized. The quizz could not be kept so I don't have any example to post. All I can say is that if you read and understand your material properly you should be able to get a correct grade.
Additionally to the quizz tests you had the possibility (optional) to handle two case studies and a summary of a book (20 pages) suggested by the teacher in order to get additional points.
An example of a book summary can be found here:
Title of the book: "Winner, Losers and Microsoft".
http://www.slideshare.net/EMBS2007/book-summary-report-example
Two examples of case studies can be found here:
Title of the study case: "Browsers war: Battle of standards".

Title of the study case: "Kodak versus Polaroid" (I am not the owner of the following work so if you want to use it you will have to ask me who will ask to the owner, thanks).

European Economy Structure
The examinations were divided like the structure of the course:
- Unit 1: Main factors about the EU economic History;
- Unit 2: European Institutions and their role in the economic scenario;
- Unit 3: Economic Indicators;
- Unit 4: The communitarian budget and structural funds;
- Unit 5: Main European Union policies and challenges that defy the future role of the EU institutions;
An example of such wikis can be found at: http://carlomagno.wikispaces.com/
An additional exam has been made at the end of the course resulting of a personal oral presentation about the visit of a company called "RMD".
By making a Wiki such as the one I introduced you can expect a grade of 7,5/10.
Quality Management
Quality management is composed of several kind of examinations.
The first one is a set of three quizz tests which had to be made at home individually and by pairs.
Here is the first quizz:

The second one:

And the third one:

And here are the solutions to the three quizz tests:
Quizz A:
1.- F | 2.- F | 3.- T | 4.- T | 5.- T | 6.- F | 7.- T | 8.- T | 9.- F | 10.- T |
11.- T | 12.- T | 13.- F | 14.- T | 15.- F | 16.- T | 17.- T | 18.- T | 19.- T | 20.- F |
Quizz B:
1.- d | 2.- b | 3.- c | 4.- b | 5.- d | 6.- e | 7.- e | 8.- e | 9.- c | 10.- d |
11.- c | 12.- e | 13.- d | 14.- a | 15.- a | 16.- a | 17.- e | 18.- d | 19.- b | 20.- d |

Quizz C:
1. Internal failure costs result from production of defective parts or services before delivery to the customer.
2. ISO 14000 is a set of environmental standards developed by the International Standards Organization.
3. Kaizen is the Japanese word for the ongoing process of incremental improvement.
4. Enlarging employee jobs so that the added responsibility and authority is moved to the lowest level possible in the organization is called employee empowerment
5. Respect for people is a cornerstone of continuous improvement.
6. Benchmarking selects a demonstrated standard of performance that represents the very best performance for a process or activity.
7. A group of employees that meet on a regular basis with a facilitator to solve work-related problems in their work area is a(n) quality circle
8. Cause-and-effect, or fishbone or Ishikawa diagrams use a schematic technique to discover possible locations of quality problems.
9. Control charts are graphical presentations of data over time that show upper and lower control limits for processes we want to control.
10.Source inspection is doing the job properly with the operator ensuring that this is so.
Then another contribution will be requested which is a group task:

In our case a two pages summary has been asked about our visit to a Mac Donald's franchise. There was no special requirements for this summary so I don't really need to post an example of it.
However some optional study cases could be handled. Those study cases are under copyright so I can only give you their names:
- Sona Koyo steering systems limited: spearheading competitiveness in India's automative components industry;
- Shouldice Hospital Limited;
- Blue mountain resorts limited: the night skiing decision;
- Kaizen at Jansons Shool of Business;
- The Merck Excellence Check: Maintaining Business Success at Merck Ltd, Thailand;
- Process Control at Polaroid;
Honestly I am not sure that even one person of the class succeed to handle one of those optional case study because we had no time at the end of semester, anyway if you can find them on the Internet you can give it a try.
Financial Markets
The exam of Financial market was composed in two parts: one theoritical (60% of the final examination) and one practical (the 40% remaining).
The theoritical part was composed of two quizz of ten questions each including some simple calculations. The quizz had to be handled and I then cannot provide you the answers. Once more if you learnt your material properly it was feasible.
Regarding the practical part you can have an example of what will be asked you on the following link:
Consumer Behavior
There were for it three examinations: one in class which consists in answering to some questions regarding the course (oral examination) and two individual works to make at home.
One consisted in finding some pictures of each of the following aspects:
- Figure & Ground;
- Law of proximity;
- Law of closure;
- Law of similarity;
- Law of membership;
- Ambiguous stimuli;
An example of an answer can be found at:
The other work at home was the following:
"Select a sector/category of product and a firm. The firm is trying to improve their sales by analysing consumer behaviour when buying the product (from the start, with recognition of needs). "
Answer the following questions:
- How would you describe the attitude towards the brand on the market?
- Are there differences between group of consumers?
- How could the firm improve attitudes towards the brand?
- Which function of attitude will play a key role in the strategy?
- Describe the perception of the brand regarding competitors (positioning map)
- Analyse how the perception of other stimulus can affect the brand image (perception of the outlet, price...) as well as other influencers (use of the product...)
- Define the strategy and a draft of the implementation to consolidate/improve that perception.
