Léon is located in the north western part of Spain:

Léon is a city of 136,200 inhabitants. The nearest biggest cities are Valladolid (125 Km) and Madrid (287 km).
Léon is a quiet city when you will for sure have a pleasant stay. You will have to adapt to Spanish culture where most of the stores are closed from 14h to 17h (except for the biggest supermarket chains: Carrefour, Lidl...) and night life starting at 22h.
The same for lunch (14h) and dinner time (21h30-22h).

The wind is often present and can be sometimes nasty. However it makes the summer cooler.
