Embs stands for European Master in Business Studies.
It is a program in two years which has on purpose to create an elite of managers in Europe.
This program takes part in 4 or 5 countries one semester in each of these university:University of Trento in Italy,University of Savoie in France,University of Kassel in Germany and University of Léon in Spain. At the end of the first year the student has to do an internship of 4 months outside of his native country.

  • How can this blog help me?
Well if you are looking for unofficial information the EMBS 2007 blog is the right place. If you are looking for experienced and former students of this program in order to know if this formation fit your expectations you can write us here.

  • Is the EMBS difficult?
Frankly for the academic year 2007/2009 the EMBS program was more physically and stressingly more intensive than intellectually. You have to know than travelling and changing our way of living every 5 months is exciting but as well very stressing and tiring. So I would say that one of the most important requirement for the program is to be in good health and to be mentally strong enough.

  • Is the EMBS expensive?
One always take the comparison of business schools in order to justify the low price of the EMBS but it is according to me an expensive program for an university. University fees are a bit less than 2500€ per year but you have to know that two scholarships are available which will bring you almost 4000€.
So grants will cover the university fees.

  • As a former student what are for you the requirements to get in the EMBS program?
Motivation should be your main moto as well as a good level of English. A second and a third language is appreciated as well as a good experience of travelling abroad. A candidate which have already an erasmus experience or several internship experiences abroad is a good candidate.
For the academic year 2009/2011 the minimum average required to apply was 13/20 for France, 95/110 in Italy, 2,5 in Germany.
I personnaly think that if you don't have this minimum average but have on the other hand a solid international experience you should give it a try.
