Accomodations are quite cheap in Kassel and it will be for this one of the cheapest of the program with Spain.
As most of the others semesters you can choose between applying to the university accomodations or trying to find a flat by yourself.
The second option is very interesting if you can speak German if not the first may be the most appropriate.
The main drawback of the first option is that you rent an accomodation for six months even if you are not living in the flat during the last month. Another weak point is that you have to pay everything the first day you arrive and in cash. This represents almost 1,100 euros so 183 euros per month.
You have the possibility to get in the accomodation some days earlier than the contract start if you justify it properly.
Student accomodations are flourishing everywhere in the city of Kassel but most of them are located on the campus. The farther you are and the least you will pay.
You have the possibility to share your appartments or to go for private ones.
